Weekend trip, with a baby!

We flew into the Dallas Fort Worth Airport, near where my bestie gal lives. Little man was a DREAM on the plane!

DAY ONE

Our first stop was visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards. Its worth a visit especially if you want some western-wear or to drink! There are plenty of restaurants, shopping and bars. Some even had live entertainment.

If you time it right, there is a cattle drive every day at 11:30 AM and 4 PM where you can see longhorn steers up close and personal.

We also found a super cute area full of cactus by the Stockyards, this made for a nice photo op 🙂

My favorite part of the stockyards was a brand new brewery called Second Rodeo Brewing Company, this place was so cool! It is huge, has two stories of indoor seating and a bar, an outdoor courtyard area with a beer truck and an indoor/ outdoor open space with lawn chairs and table setups and a stage. Highly recommend stopping by there if you go, and I took little man in with no problem!

DAY TWO

Our next day we started at Legacy Hall, this place was a DREAM COME TRUE for food lovers like myself. There are small food venues all around the inside of the hall of every which kind. Mexican, Chinese, Burgers, Desserts you name it. I went for tacos, sushi, crab ragoon, chicken waffle and mango margarita and it was all amazing!

Legacy Hall also has a huge outdoor area with a stage, they frequently have entertainment or football games playing. The inside space is 3 stories high with the cutest bar on the second floor, it was picture worthy 😉

Outside of Legacy Hall, there are lots of shops and places to visit. Its a very high end area!

Our next stop was Truck Yard, which had the coolest entrance ever, lined with cars buried half way in the ground.

Truck Yard has its own brewery, a toilet seat museum (weird I know but also so cool), food trucks and a stage where there is usually live entertainment! Very fun place to hang out and see all the different areas.

DAY THREE

Luckily, we visited Dallas during the Bugtopia at Dallas Arboretum. This is the definition of PICTURE PERFECT. The Dallas Arboretum takes a section of its massive grounds and makes it every girls dream, covered in pumpkins, gourds and Halloween crawlers! Honestly, stepping into this felt just like I had gotten off the bus of Halloweentown.

It was too perfect for taking a few fall family photos.

Even if you don’t go during their Bugtopia Autumn Event, the Dallas Arboretum is still beautiful to visit. There is even a kids park/ garden area for your little ones to have fun in. We found some other picture worthy places during our visit, check it out.

To round out our last day, we went too see my friends plane “Rosie.”

Hope my guide helps you check out some cool places while you visit Dallas, below are a few other restaurants we went to that were great! For more photos and videos, check out my instagram highlight on my page @tommielynne

The Tavern at Lakeside– would deff try their adult caprisun!

Paradiso Bishop Arts– SUCH a cute and chic place, their artisan pizza was phenomenal.

3 Nations Brewing– Loved this brewery and they have lots of board and card games to keep you entertained.

Hard 8– Barbecue but buffet style and super casual. VERY tasty!
